Senior AI Native Product Engineer – India / Remote

Mavvrik is looking for a Senior Product Engineer with 6–12 years of experience who is deeply hands-on, product-minded, and highly effective at leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows to build high-impact product capabilities. 
 
This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who can take ambiguous customer and business problems, convert them into clear technical specifications, lead architecture, and deliver production-quality solutions with minimal hand-holding.

The ideal candidate regularly uses AI-assisted development platforms and agentic workflows to improve velocity while applying strong technical judgment. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own complex product capabilities from problem definition through design, implementation, release, and iteration. 
  • Translate customer, product, and business requirements into scalable technical solutions. 
  • Lead architecture and technical design for workflows, integrations, APIs, data pipelines, frontend experiences, and platform capabilities. 
  • Apply spec-driven development through technical specifications, design documents, implementation plans, architecture decisions, and acceptance criteria. 
  • Design and evolve platform architecture that can scale across customers, data volumes, integrations, and future product requirements. 
  • Build across the stack including Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, APIs, databases, data models, and cloud integrations. 
  • Leverage AI-assisted development workflows for design exploration, implementation, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review while validating all outputs through strong engineering judgment. 
  • Evaluate trade-offs, risks, dependencies, scalability, security, usability, maintainability, and cost efficiency before implementation. 

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and leadership teams to deliver customer-impacting outcomes. 
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, technical guidance, and hands-on examples. 
  • Promote engineering excellence across clean code, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and release readiness. 
  • Contribute to platform evolution and long-term technical strategy. 

Qualifications

Required 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 6–12 years of hands-on software engineering experience with ownership of complex product or platform initiatives.
  • Proven experience designing scalable software architecture and leading end-to-end product delivery.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development platforms such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Codex, or equivalent workflows.
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated designs, code, tests, and recommendations, identifying defects, risks, and hidden assumptions. 
  • Experience with spec-driven development and creation of technical specifications, design documents, implementation plans, and acceptance criteria. 
  • Strong programming skills in Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar modern languages. 
  • Experience building modern frontend applications using Angular or similar frameworks such as React or Vue. 
  • Strong experience designing and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs. 
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, integrations, data pipelines, performance, security, scalability, and usability. 
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms. 
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP. 
  • Strong communication skills, product mindset, and ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments. 
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly move from concept to production while maintaining quality standards. 
Preferred 
  • Experience building AI-powered products, MCP integrations, agent frameworks, RAG systems, LLM orchestration, or AI platform capabilities. 
  • Experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, SaaS cost management, AI cost management, observability, or enterprise integrations. 
  • Experience with GitHub, pull requests, code reviews, and modern CI/CD workflows.
